One of my favorite scriptures is God’s commandment that we parents must observe and follow is in Isaiah 8:18 – “Behold, I and the children whom the lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders“.
Lets be cautious of God’s warning to parent on what not to do to your children. I pray that every parent will follow these simple directives from God to help them raise godly children.

Power Bible Verses About Children
For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.
Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.
2 Timothy 1:5
I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.
2 Timothy 3:14-15

He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the LORD!
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
Raising Children the Godly Way
Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.
When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.
See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.
A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a mocker does not respond to rebukes.
He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
Then Esau looked up and saw the women and children. Who are these with you? he asked. Jacob answered, They are the children God has graciously given your servant.
But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were indignant. Do you hear what these children are saying? they asked him. Yes, replied Jesus, Have you never read, From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise’?
And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
Now if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
There is hope for your future, declares the Lord, and your children shall come back to their own country.
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
